- The call waiting tone will cause some modems to drop the line with the factory
- default settings. Since yours does not, you could take a look in your manual and
- set the S register which controls the duration that the modem waits after loss of
- carrier before hanging up. This is S10 on USR modems. Reduce this number,
- which is often set at 0.7 seconds by default.
